Hi my name is Ashalee and I completed my first surrogate journey with Love & Kindness Surrogacy on 11/20/2025. Becoming a surrogate for the first time was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. After witnessing how hard dealing with infertility was and how many people around me, including friends and family struggled with infertility, I knew I wanted to become a surrogate. When I first matched with my intended parent, Lisa, I knew that this journey would be special. From the beginning, we created a strong connection and communicated often throughout the pregnancy. I felt honored that she trusted me to help bring her baby into the world. Throughout the pregnancy, Lisa and I stayed connected by FaceTime during every doctor’s appointment and ultrasound. Even though she could not attend the appointments in person, she was able to experience those important moments with me virtually. Seeing her excitement each time we heard the baby’s heartbeat reminded me why I chose to become a surrogate. It made the experience feel even more meaningful because we were sharing those milestones together. My family was also very supportive during my journey. Their encouragement helped me stay positive and confident throughout the pregnancy. Knowing that I had my family standing behind me made the experience even more special. One of the hardest parts of the journey for me was the injections at the beginning of the surrogacy process. At first, they were difficult and required patience and strength to get through. However, once I completed the injections, everything else afterward felt like a breeze. The rest of the pregnancy went smoothly, and thankfully, there were no complications. The day of the delivery was one of the most emotional moments of the entire journey.

My journeys have made my life feel so meaningful in so many ways. I remember coming across ads for surrogacy and thinking how wonderful for someone to help a family in such a selfless way. I wanted more information on it and through Love and Kindness all of my questions were answered. I have known Connie for 3 years now she has answered any questions I have had and addressed any concerns right away. The first steps in being cleared for surrogacy was actually such an easy process and gratefully Love and Kindness took care of most the communication that was needed in getting medical records from past doctors appointments they needed in order to proceed! My first couple are 2 amazing men from Italy. They wanted a baby to complete their family. Without hesitation I knew it was something that I wanted to do! I have a 9 year old boy and never minded being pregnant. The only thing I was a little nervous for was labor.
I was so excited for embryo transfer, it was starting to feel so real at that point wondering if the embryo would stick. It was so cool flying and going out of town to see a new place for a few days. Thankfully, when I took my first pregnancy test it was positive! They also do a blood test to confirm that as well. My intended parents as well as myself were so happy.
My intended parents checked on me often throughout my pregnancy asking how I felt and the support I felt was so touching to me! My family was happy for me even though some family members questioned my journey at first but eventually were definitely onboard and very excited for me and the parents throughout the journey.
I will never forget the day Chloe was born and how many emotions flew through the room. I was worried for labor and only pushed for 7 minutes. It honestly did not feel real compared to how many hours I pushed with my son (haha!) seeing my intended parents holding her was so beautiful. I felt so proud of myself. As a parent the feeling of being proud of your child for the milestones they come across such as learning how to walk, learning how to read, or play sports you feel a comparable feeling about yourself in the moments you see the parents holding their baby for the first time. It is a wholesome feeling and the way you feel appreciated is indescribable.
I knew instantly I wanted to be a surrogate again, so I did! I had an interview with my next intended parents who had tried before but unfortunately could not carry on their own so I was excited when it was a finalized match! I felt pressure with really wanting to make sure I had a healthy delivery for them because of their story. Thankfully I delivered their healthy baby boy and got to feel all the emotions of seeing them so relieved and happy to have their little miracle boy.
I strongly believe that any parent that goes through as much time and effort and the financials that come with having a baby through IVF as well as finding a surrogate deserves to be a parent. That is their biggest wish and surrogacy helps that dream come true. It is a beautiful act and I’m grateful my son has had the chance to see me carry a baby for someone since he is proud of me as well.
Financially Surrogacy has helped me in so many ways also. I thought I would never be able to start a savings account for my son but thankfully I have been able to do so. I also got to take my son to Disney which was a huge goal of mine to accomplish before he was a teenager. Surrogacy is a beautiful journey and I have loved every minute of it!

Hello, my name is Rosa I’m a second time surrogate I have delivered a healthy baby girl in 2024. I’m currently on my second surrogacy journey. I’m currently pregnant 29 weeks 6 days. I’m due in 10 weeks. I chose Love & Kindness as my agency because they are so amazing. I love the communication and how much they care for their surrogates and Intended Parents. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I chose to be a surrogate because in 2016 I was blessed with a handsome little boy. I thought I wasn’t able to have children of my own. Since then, I wanted to bless a family that wasn’t able to have children of their own. I wanted them to experience the joy of being parents. I have a great support system my husband, three children and mother-in-law.
The best part of doing surrogacy and matching with the Intended Parents is having that close nit relationship with them. Seeing the joy of them holding their baby they have been longing for, for the very first time brings so much joy to my heart. I still keep in contact with the Intended Parents I completed my first journey with. I get updates about the baby and how they are doing. I’m truly blessed that I played a big part of making their dreams of becoming parents come true.
With my first journey I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes which was diet controlled. It was a little stressful since I had no idea what to do. But within time I got the hang of it. This time around I also got diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Which I was made aware in my first journey that if I was to get pregnant in the future, I run a high risk of being diagnosed with gestational diabetes again. This time around gestational diabetes is also diet controlled.
I have enjoyed every bit of being a surrogate and seeing the joy on the Intended Parents faces holding their babies for the first time. This might be my last journey, I’m still up in the air about doing a third journey due to being high risk on getting gestational diabetes again. I want to thank Love & Kindness for making both of my journeys go very smooth and being there for me every step of the way. I will forever be grateful.

When was your surrogate baby born?
My last surrogate baby was born on September 3rd, 2022.
What made you look into surrogacy?
I had a good friend who was a surrogate. I went with her to her transfer and was with her throughout her whole journey. It inspired me so much to be a surrogate myself.
What was your favorite moment in your previous surrogacy journey?
The best moment in my previous surrogacy journey was meeting my Intended Parents in person for the first time. After I picked them up from the airport, we laughed, had dinners every day, and I felt so close to them. Also, the day they got to hold her baby for the first time was the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever experienced.
What was your matching process like?
My matching process was so fast! The moment I laid eyes on that couple I knew that they were the ones and that I wanted to carry their child for them. Love & Kindness helped me through the process and made everything so quick for me.
How are your intended parents?
My current Intended Parents are so amazing! The best thing about this journey is the Intended Parents live only 30 minutes away from me, unlike my first two journeys where my Intended Parents were from different countries. Having these new Intended Parents live so close to me is amazing. They can be there with me every step of the way and be with me at my appointments.
Tell us about your pregnancy journey so far.
My last pregnancy journey went so smoothly. I delivered at 39 weeks by induction, and it was amazing. I spent every day with my Intended parents – eating dinner, watching movies, and just having so much fun with them. I’m currently on my third journey. I’ve matched with my new Intended Parents and I’m currently waiting for embryos to be made.
How are you talking to your family and friends about surrogacy? Are they supportive?
I really enjoy talking to my friends and family about my surrogacy journeys. My family and friends are very supportive. I have one good friend and my sister, who I talk to about my journey. With all the steps that it takes to be a surrogate, it’s nice to have those two amazing people in my life that I get to talk to you about my journey.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned so far in your journey?
The most important thing that I’ve learned on my journeys so far is to always keep track of my appointments. It’s also important to check my emails in order to be responsive to the Intended Parents.
What is one thing you wish you knew starting out?
There’s not really anything I wish I knew starting out because Love & Kindness told me everything I needed to know before I even started the process.
What’s been the most challenging moment?
I think the most challenging moment in my last surrogacy journey was not knowing if the embryo stuck after my transfer. Everything other than that went so smoothly!
Do you have a relationship with your intended parents now?
I do stay in contact with both Intended Parents from my first two journeys. I talk to them all the time and they send me updated pictures of the babies. With my new Intended Parents, we talk about it every other day.
Would you consider being a gestational carrier again?
I’m actually in the process of being a gestational carrier for my third journey with Love & Kindness. Everything went smoothly on my last journey, so I wanted to do it again.

What made you want to look into surrogacy?
I have always felt blessed to have such easy pregnancies, after seeing others struggle with infertility I knew one day when the time was right I would want to help someone by being a gestational carrier.
What’s been your favorite moment in the process so far?
My favorite moment in my process so far was hearing a heartbeat with the IM after two failed transfers and a long journey.
What’s been the most challenging moment?
The most challenging part of my journey was definitely the progesterone shots, but the pain was short-lived and already forgotten about.
What was your matching process like?
My agent listened to my preferences and searched for the perfect match. I shared how I wanted my journey to look and miraculously found a local couple that had all of the things I was looking for in a match.
How are your intended parents?
My intended parents are absolutely amazing. They are such a blessing to work with. They trust my judgment and are always involved without being overbearing.
Tell us about your pregnancy journey so far.
My pregnancy has been such a beautiful experience. After two failed transfers this pregnancy is such a blessing. Like all pregnancies, there are ups and downs but it’s not much different than my own pregnancies.
How are you talking to your family and friends about surrogacy? Are they supportive?
My family and friends have all known this is something I’ve wanted to do for many years and everyone has been extremely supportive and encouraging.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned so far in your journey?
The most important thing I’ve learned in my journey is the impact of infertility and pregnancy loss. It was something I haven’t experienced before and I never truly understood the impact of a pregnancy loss. Now I’m even more compassionate to other moms and women who are dealing with these things.
What were the intended parents like? How involved were they?
Sylvia and Miguel, the intended parents, are the most deserving people I have ever met. From the second we met I knew there was no one else who deserved to be a mother more than Sylvia. Despite the language barrier and the distance they were very much active! We FaceTimed each other during appointments, including the transfer!
How did you talk to your family about surrogacy before, during, and after the process?
I was very open with my family and friends from start to finish. In the beginning I worried a little about my children having an attachment but throughout the whole pregnancy they knew we were just keeping Valentina “safe” till her parents were able to meet her.
Do you have a relationship with your intended parents now?
Sylvia, Miguel and myself have an open relationship! Almost every other day from Valentina’s birth I get updated pictures and videos. It was awesome to be able to spend the first few weeks with all three of them. We consider each other “family”!
Would you consider being a gestational carrier again?
Without a doubt I’d do it again!

When was your surrogate baby born?
Baby girl was born at 3:05 pm on April 9th, 2021.
What made you want to look into surrogacy?
I felt this unexplainable urge to carry a child for a family who couldn’t carry one for their selves. I felt like it would be a gift that would keep giving.
What was your favorite moment during the surrogacy process?
My favorite part of the whole Journey was meeting the intended mother, Sylvia! The second we met via zoom the whole process made sense. I had goosebumps and knew immediately that she was the one that I’d carry for.
What did you find most challenging about the process?
For me, there wasn’t anything “challenging”. From the moment I contacted Love and Kindness from the second I gave birth, my case manager was always there to help and guide me.
What was your matching process like?
The matching process was like walking into school on the first day. I had a few butterflies in the beginning but the second I met the intended mother I felt like we were friends for forever!
Tell us about your pregnancy.
Our pregnancy flew by! Hands down, I’d have to say this has been my most enjoyable pregnancy and the most rewarding. With the help of my case workers, nurses, and doctors I’d have to say this journey has been easy.

When is your surrogate baby born?
My surrogate baby is due on November 13, 2021.
What made you want to look into surrogacy?
I looked into surrogacy because it has been something that has been on my heart for a very long time. I have always wanted to help someone else have a family since being a mother has been the greatest thing that I’ve ever done and circumstances in my life finally were at a place that I could move forward and make it happen.
What’s been your favorite moment in the process so far?
Watching my intended parents see their baby on the ultrasound screen for the very first time.
What’s been the most challenging moment?
Love & Kindness, Tasha Brown and my intended parents have made this process so incredibly easy and stress free. I don’t think that I have had any challenging moments so far except when my body decided to ovulate through my medication and we had to postpone our transfer date. But even that wasn’t that challenging. Just had to add a new medication and we were right back on track a month later.
What was your matching process like? How are your intended parents?
Super easy. I matched with the first couple that I met with and they have been so gracious and so amazing through everything. They have made me feel like I am a part of their family now and I know that we will stay in each other’s lives for a long time.
Tell us about your pregnancy journey so far.
First trimester has been a breeze. Very few symptoms and baby is doing great and growing right on track.
How are you talking to your family and friends about surrogacy? Are they supportive?
I told them that I felt like God had led me towards surrogacy and that all the pieces just fell into place so easily that it had to be meant to be. All of them have been very supportive so far.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned so far in your journey?
I love to give and this has been the greatest thing that I have ever been able to give or will ever be able to give to someone else. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of something so extraordinary. Love & Kindness has been such a huge part in making this surrogacy exactly what I dreamt that it would be.
Tell us about your pregnancy journey so far.
So far, it’s been incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable. My initial medical evaluation and transfer were in California, which was really neat. Being able to see parts of the country I’ve never been to before while helping a family out was such an experience! Since then, we have stayed with my local doctor and I’ve loved having someone from Love and Kindness to reach out to when I need help or have a question.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned so far in your journey?
One lesson we have taught our children through all of this is that, if you have an opportunity to be kind and give someone something special, you should. Granted, it won’t always be a baby, but the same rules apply to life, LOL!

What’s been your favorite moment in the process so far?
My favorite moment was the initial ultrasound and being able to tell the IP that the little one was in there and growing well.
What’s been the most challenging moment?
I have truly not had any moments that were challenging.
What was your matching process like? How are your intended parents?
The IP is fantastic and as involved as possible being thousands of miles away. The matching process was very exciting and I felt like I was matched with someone who respected me and my hopes for this entire journey.
How are you talking to your family and friends about surrogacy? Are they supportive
?
They are! I initially only told my close group of friends and my family, but since I’ve told everyone around me, people are so supportive! I was worried about how some would react, but it was easy and people enjoy hearing about the journey.

What made you want to look into surrogacy?
I come from a big family and after being done with having my own; I found the science behind this process very interesting and decided to help. My friends experience also helped me make the most amazing decision to be a surrogate.
What was your favorite moment during the surrogacy process?
My most favorite moment during the whole surrogacy process was how my Intended Parent cared so much of my wellbeing.
What did you find most challenging about the process?
For me was always the last semester of the pregnancy, I always carry big healthy babies, lol. This last journey was a little different, I was pregnant when the pandemic began, just the whole masks and restrictions.
What was your matching process like?
The matching process was excited, it was a wait but worth it, when the right Intended parent is for you it just happens.
Tell us about your pregnancy.
My pregnancy was great, I have always enjoyed being pregnant, after the bit of nausea it was the cravings and chubbiness. Which never bothered me, as I am a small thin woman.
Would you consider being a gestational carrier again?
I would love to be a surrogate again but unfortunately, my time is up.
What were the intended parents like? How involved were they?
The parent was awesome, we kept in touch frequently, and he would ask how I was doing and was just so sweet. He had his consultant here in Irvine; meet with towards the middle to end of my pregnancy to check on me.
How did you talk to your family about surrogacy before, during, and after the process?
Before anything, I talk to my spouse and kids; I went over what surrogacy is and how it works. Once they were on board I talked to my parents and siblings and they were all very supportive.
What is one thing you wish you knew starting out?
One thing I did wish I knew before starting was how addicting surrogacy can be lol, I wish I could help more people; the joy you see in them is priceless.
Do you have a relationship with your intended parents now?
Yes, we still keep in touch here and there. It is nice to know the blessing you were able to give someone. It melts my heart.
What were the intended parents like? How involved were they?
My IF was amazing, he was down to earth and made sure to ask a lot of questions when it came to things that i went through and to better understand different things that were going on. He wasn’t just concerned about the baby, he made sure that I was ok as well.
How did you talk to your family about surrogacy before, during, and after the process?
Before the surrogacy I mentioned it to my family that it was something that I wanted to do to see how everyone felt and received a lot of questions about it and the process. During the process, as I learned more and went through different things, my family also learned and understood more. Some of my family also did research as well. Now that the process is finished, I have received a lot of positive feedback from family, friends and even strangers that I have come in contact with.
What’s one thing you wish you knew starting out?
One thing I wish I knew before starting out is that the process of getting your body ready for embryo transfer can involve a lot of steps between all the medications and making sure they are taken on a strict schedule and often the same time everyday for 12 weeks, to the weekly blood draws and ultrasounds.
Would you consider being a gestational carrier again?
Yes! I would do it all over again, a million times more if I could. The ability to give a family the precious gift of a child(ren) makes every second of the hard parts worth it.

What made you want to look into surrogacy?
Being a surrogate was something that I have wanted to do for a while but after having my youngest, I decided that it was time for me to help another family have the joys of parenthood.
What was your favorite moment during the surrogacy process?
My favorite moment was when my IF saw his baby girl for the first time.
What did you find most challenging about the process?
The most challenging part about the process was giving myself shots and making sure that i was inserting the needle into the correct spot
What was your matching process like?
My matching process was quick and easy, I really connected with my IF on the first call and from there our relationship has blossomed.
Tell us about your pregnancy.
My pregnancy was pretty easy for the most part, there were moments in the pregnancy that was completely different than my other pregnancies like, placenta previa, being considered high risk due to the pregnancy being IVF ,extra testing and being at risk of preeclampsia but overall I feel that my providers took precaution to make sure that both me and the baby were healthy throughout the pregnancy and during delivery.
Do you have a relationship with your intended parents now?
Yes, since delivery we have text each other frequently. I have received pictures and updates. We have a connection and consider each other an extended part of the family.
